I have made it a hobby for these issues of scammers, frauds, etc. Have some standard letters, in fact, that I keep with me at all times. I can tell you this...most of these scammers are Ghanian and Russian decent. They will want your email address, but most of all want your chat addresses. They are all young...some of them have no sense of direction, intelligence. They all want money for either themselves, families...or just to have it. As well, there will be men wanting monies to help send trunks of possible cash, etc., from their location. As well, other matters concern deceased individuals who have no next of kin...to get you involved in payment of legal matters, documents, etc. I could give you more...but they are endless. In truth, I have a list of over 1,100 scam email addresses. Most interesting! By all means, people...BE CAREFUL AND VERY VIGILANTE!

This was once a site where you could meet "real" people; when it first launched the chat room was a nice place. unfortunately the scammers and spammers found it and barely one in a thousand profiles are anything but scammers from the African continent or elsewhere. Maybe if they posted a contacts IP address in all correspondence it might thin out some of the "trash" (not that I haven't met some very nice people from all over the world [on other websites]. JMHO

true... alot of dating sites have them but they've introduced systems to limit their impact on legit people. the best system ive seen only allows emails to be exchanged after the people have sent messages back and forth at least 3 times... ive noticed that 99% of the fake messages contain emails (yahoo) at first contact... just my 2 cents.
